These are paintings, but they also exhibit sculptural qualities. Three dimensional objects and deep texture are affixed to the canvas in addition to oils, acrylic, and other media. All three have strong metallic and iridescent qualities as well and therefore change and move as the viewer moves. Each canvas has the feel of an ancient tablet - harkening back to a previous age when triptychs were solely the domain of religious paintings. |
